The goal of the Technology and Social Cooperatives Enterprises Incubator is to encourage and support the development of social projects, transforming research results into self-managed and sustainable social enterprises, aimed at local development and increased economic activity in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Incubator establishes the relationship of social entrepreneurs with the university and its physical and technological infrastructure, aiming to generate jobs and income. We started our activities in December 2014 as Technological Development Unit, UERJ, under the coordination of Professor Antonio Carlos de Azevedo Ritto, with the mission to increase the inclusion of UERJ in the social context of the State of Rio de Janeiro, seeking and building conditions and opportunities for the development of social projects.
