PHOENIX Incubator, from Engineering Faculty of UERJ, is an incubator of technology-based, with main focus on renewable energy and ICT (Information and Communication Technology). However, other areas of projects, of entrepreneurs with innovative profile, may also be accepted, if they are interest to the academic community UERJ.

Besides UERJ Laboratories Complex in São Cristóvão, in the same building of PHOENIX are installed the Mechanical Engineering laboratories, Civil and Research Center in Renewable Energy (CEPER) of the University. The incubator also has the support of the installed laboratories on Campus Maracanã from the Faculty Engineering at UERJ.
