Founded in 1994, the Business Incubator of COPPE / UFRJ is a specially designed environment to stimulate the creation of new companies based on technological knowledge generated in research groups located at UFRJ. This environment provides the development of companies that offer products and services with innovative content and high value.

The Business Incubator of COPPE / UFRJ systematically contributes to the conversion of knowledge generated in research activities into innovative products and services that benefit all society. In more than 20 years of activity, the Incubator has supported the generation of 86 companies, responsible for generating more than 1,250 highly skilled jobs.
