The incubator of technology-based companies and traditional sectors, based in Resende Regional Campus from UERJ belongs to the macro geo-economic region known as the South Paraíba Valley, which covers the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. In the Fluminense side of the Valley, it is a pioneer in the incubation initiative of companies in Fluminense South Vale. The implementation and consolidation of the Fluminense South Incubator , oriented to the local and sectoral development, constitutes as excellent growth opportunity in generating suppliers that add technology and innovation to the local supply chain.

The Fluminense South Incubator has the regional potential high-priority segments: metal-mechanical, chemical, automotive, steel, nuclear, tourism, environmental and logistics sector, not excluding, however, in its selection process, innovative and intensive projects in intellectual capital and technology in all areas of knowledge.
